What is the Sears Great Canadian Chill?

The Toronto Chill is actually a twist on the traditional "polar bear dip" where Chillers jump into a custom-built pool filled with icy cold water.  Proceeds of The Chill support the Sears Canada Charitable Foundation. Funds will be directed to the Sears Cancer Clinic at The Hospital for Sick Children and the Sears Childhood Cancer Fellowship.

How much time must Chillers spend in the water?

Chillers may spend as little time in the water as they desire*. Participants should be aware that body heat is lost at a much faster rate in water than on dry land, and should act accordingly. Get in, get out, get warm, and have FUN!
*Event Organizers reserve the right to cancel the chill portion of the event in the instance of extreme cold.
